Gateway Cash Register was founded in 1976 in Florissant, Missouri serving the Metro St. Louis area. In 2008, we moved to our new and current location at 2501 West Clay, just off First Capitol in Saint Charles.
We carry a wide variety of products for use in restaurants, bars, pizzarias, delis, general quick service, liquor stores, smoke shops, convenience stores, and specialty shops like gun shops, pool shops, music shops, book stores and many more industries. Larry Poropat
Larry retired in 2014. He is the founder of Gateway Cash Register. He and Neil Aubuchon started the company in 1976. He’s enjoying life on the golf course.
Judy Poropat
Larry’s wife, Judy, was the Office Manager from the beginning. She has also retired, enjoying golf and spending time with friends and family.

Jeff Poropat
Larry and Judy’s son, Jeff, is the current owner of Gateway Cash Register. He started in the Cash Register/POS business in 1987. Over 30 years experience helps him oversee the daily operation of Gateway Cash Register. Jeff and his wife Laura have three kids. Jeff loves coaching and watching sports. His family loves to camp and spend their weekends outdoors.

Shannon Poropat
Jeff’s daughter Shannon has taken over the role of Office Manager, as well as being in charge of billing and collection. She also assists with phone support and installations. She enjoys her dogs, camping, and spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Jake Andrews
Jake is in charge of our new Android system. He also helps with phone support, programming and installations. We are all excited to see Jake progress and take on the challenges ahead. He loves Blues hockey, shooting pool and playing guitar.
Dillan Adams
Dillan is the newest addition to the team. He assists with phone support, installations, and solving general tech problems. His interests are Baltimore Ravens football, New Orleans Pelicans basketball, stand-up comedy, and traveling.
